El status étnico en la estructuración del espacio del Partido de General Pueyrredón, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina

Abstract

El aspecto a tratar es el impacto del poblamiento multiétnico en la configuración espacial del Partido de General Pueyrredón, espacio jurisdiccional que contiene a la ciudad de Mar del Plata, ejemplo de aglomeración de tamaño intermedio de la Argentina. Al mismo tiempo, el aporte consiste en la aplicación de algunas técnicas iniciales en el campo de la Ecología Urbana, a saber, el método de estandarización de variables mediante puntajes “z”, y la obtención del Índice de Segregación Espacial Global y Areal; se reflexiona sobre estos procedimientos y su aplicación para la interpretación de los fenómenos sociales en diferentes latitudes geográficas. Los datos provienen del Censo Nacional de Población y Vivienda 1991. Las configuraciones espaciales encontradas para el status migratorio no pueden ser catalogadas en alguna alternativa de distribución observada para las ciudades norteamericanas y europeas. El atributo dinámico ocupa un papel significativo al momento de encontrar causas explicativas complementarias
