Abstract

A poluição provocada pelo manejo inadequado dos dejetos de suínos vem se agravando cada vez mais, devido ao elevado número de contaminantes gerados pelos seus efluentes. Nesse contexto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar as áreas críticas com atividade suinícola no município de Roca Sales, RS, Brasil, utilizando uma metodologia de avaliação por critérios múltiplos, presentes no Sistema de Informação Geográfica IDRISI 32. A partir do cruzamento e análise dos fatores, obteve-se uma imagem que consiste numa medida contínua da criticidade do município, representada entre os valores de 0 a 255, sendo 0 a maior criticidade, diminuindo gradativamente até 255. Com a avaliação da imagem, pode-se concluir que grande parte da área do município apresenta criticidade média a média-alta.
