Abstract

Los Andes Patagónicos de nuestros días figuran como una de las regiones donde la globalización está presente como evento de sesgo territorial. En los últimos años el turismo representa la instancia de transformación socio-económica más visible y, a modo de vector, impulsa cambios en amplios sectores urbanos y rurales. Pero las transformaciones modernas tienen antecedentes de varias décadas, donde más allá del turismo, siempre activo en estas tierras, tuvieron a los valles patagónicos en la mira de la incipiente migración desde las grandes ciudades argentinas. En este trabajo se analiza la problemática de los parcelamientos rurales mediante la aplicación de la metodología SIG, poniendo énfasis en los casos de sobre-parcelamientos. Los resultados obtenidos permiten sentar bases cuali-cuantitativas para el acompañamiento científico del devenir geográfico regional.
