Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta um modelo para simulação de crescimento urbano, incluindo variáveis naturais, urbanas e institucionais, simulando conjuntamente expansão urbana e crescimento interno, através da integração de autômatos celulares, teoria de grafos e geotecnologias. O modelo denomina-se SACI – Simulador do Ambiente da Cidade®, está implementado em ambiente de SIG e tem sido utilizado para representar crescimento urbano e para explorar questões de interface entre o ambiente natural e o processo urbano.
