Abstract

Durante los días 26 y 27 de Agosto de 2004 se realizó en la ciudad de Buenos Aires el “Primer Seminario Argentino de Geografía Cuantitativa”. Con el lema “Avances conceptuales y metodológicos para una geografía en acción” tuvo como objetivo divulgar la producción nacional en la materia. Fueron desarrolladas once conferencias principales y siete exposiciones de tesis; fue publicado un CD ROM producto de una convocatoria internacional con más de 1.400 páginas en artículos. El seminario representó un evento importante para la difusión de métodos cuantitativos en los estudios territoriales.
