Abstract

Presentamos el sistema Global Climate Monitor: un modelo de datos y una herramienta de geovisualización para la difusión de datos climáticos globales y de indicadores climáticoambientales derivados, de fácil comprensión, que permitan transmitir el comportamiento del clima a escala global a cualquier potencial usuario, dentro o fuera de la comunidad científica. Los datos que se ofrecen actualmente en el visor (http://www.globalclimatemonitor.org) se corresponden con la versión CRU TS3.21 de la base de datos de la Climate Research Unit (U. of East Anglia), producto que ofrece datos a una resolución espacial de medio grado en latitud y longitud y que abarcan desde enero de 1901 a diciembre de 2012 a escala mensual.
