Abstract

El Paradigma Geotecnológico como nueva forma de ver la realidad a través de las Tecnologías de la Información Geográfica (TIG), la Geografía Global como campo disciplinario que sustenta esta nueva visión al estar formada por los conceptos y métodos de análisis geográfico que se han incorporado al ambiente digital, y la CiberGeografía como el estudio que comprende las amplias relaciones entre lo real (espacio geográfico) y lo virtual (representación digital), están revolucionando el análisis geográfico del siglo XXI. El presente trabajo aborda esta trilogía que surge como generadora de la “explosión disciplinaria” que experimenta la Geografía actual con lo cual impacta en el resto de las ciencias y las prácticas humanas. Posibilitan la simbiosis entre ciencia geográfica y su contexto, y nos muestran un inminente desafío, el de la superposición-complemento-competencia de nuestro mundo real con un nuevo universo digital en expansión.
