Abstract

Con la metodología que exponemos en este trabajo tratamos de llenar un vacío en la investigación con fuentes geo-históricas. El manejo de la información de dichas fuentes para reconstrucción territorial carece, hoy por hoy, de procedimientos estandarizados y está pendiente de la introducción de técnicas y procedimientos de amplia aceptación en diferentes áreas de conocimiento. Estas dos líneas constituyen los objetivos del trabajo que presentamos, y que se han materializado en una apuesta por el empleo de Sistemas de Información Geográfica con desarrollo de módulos propios empleando software libre. Como adelanto a la fase de diseño y construcción de un software para la gestión y recreación cartográfica de fuentes geo-históricas, se ha desarrollado una serie de procedimientos centrados en una fuente del siglo XVIII de gran calidad, el Catastro de Ensenada
